Meine Lieben!
Hoffe Euch im Besitze unseres Luftpostbriefes
u. beim besten Wohle, gleiches sind wir auch. Lb. Gertrud
ist 2.1 wieder daheim, u. gesund G.L. Euch zu Liebe
habe ich den Anfang gemacht an Tante Gretchen zu
schrieben. Wegen die Grüße lb. Liesels Mutter schrieb ich,
an Onkel Siegfried erhalte wird es auch nicht so regel-
mäßig bekommen. Bei uns dauert es 4 Wochen bis ein
von Euch in unseren Händen kommt, u. ich denke daß es
bei Euch auch solange dauert, deshalb gratuliere ich dir auch
heute schon zu deinem Geburtstag lb. Leopold wünsche Euch
alles Gute, es muß Euch beider noch gut gehen, was Ihr doch
auch schon gutes getan habt. Nehme dir auch von meiner Gut-
haben 5 Dollar u. auch lb. Liesel 5 Do. kauft Euch beide was
dafür. Nach Berlin an Linis Schwiegereltern schickten wir
ein Paket was es kostet ist noch nicht bezahlt darüber
wird lb. Friedrich im nächsten Brief schreiben, heute ist
er nicht im Stand zu schreiben nachdem lb. Gertrud nicht
daheim war u. die Feiertage gab es soviel Arbeit, daß
sie kaum Zeit hatten zu essen, noch zu schlafen, auch die Ange-
legenheit mit lb. Leo seine List müssen sie noch gedulden,
lb. Friedrich will schauen was damit zu machen ist.

Ist das Geld für Leo von lb. Leopold inzwischen angekommen.
Was das Paket für lb. Liesels Mutter gekostet hat, habe
ich schon einmal geschrieben 6.50 g. daß könnt Ihr mir Gut–
schreiben. Lini sowie Leo wollen Geld nach München u.
Nürnberg geschickt haben darüber schreibt Euch ebenfalls
lb. Friedrich, die wollen, es vorlegen u. drüben stehen
lassen, ich kann nichts mehr vorlegen sonst habe ich nichts
mehr herrufen. Von Hedi werdet Ihr wenn sie das Visum
bekommt einen Luftpostbrief bekommen. Kaffee darf man
nur noch ½ kg schicken, ein größeres Packet nach München ist
nicht angekommen, da war Friedr u. Gertrud die Spender
jetzt wiederholt dorthin. Wenn Ihr für Eure Mutter lb. Liesel
wieder was haben wollt müßt Ihr uns darüber schreiben.
lb. Ernstchen freut sich sehr mit seiner Garage wann das Auto
herausläuft macht ihm viel Spaß, auch meine Handschuh
sind sehr fein. Hedi möcht immer noch wissen was sie
Euch mitbringen soll. Inzwischen wird Justin auch bei Euch
gelandet sein, hoffentlich kann Paul auch bald noch kommen.
Saget bitte zu lb. Leo u. lb. Lini daß an Sofort u.
Linis Brief kamm über hier nach München. Noch alles

Mine Lieben! Hoffe Euch wohlauf wie wir es Gott lob auch sind. Der kleine
ist munter & macht uns viel spaß. Ernst freut sich mit dem Brüderchen, und nehmt noch recht herzl. Dank für die schöne Garage mit Auto, woran Ernst viel Freude hat.

My dears,Hope you have received our airmail letter and are in the best mood that we are also. Dear Gertrud is as of 2.1 home and healthy, thank God. As a favor to you I have begun to write a letter to aunt Gretchen. Regarding the greetings from dear Liesel’s mother I wrote to uncle Siegfried, however he will not consistently receive it. It takes 4 weeks before a letter from you gets to us, I think it must take as long for ours to reach you, and therefore I am congratulating you today dear Leopold on your birthday, wish you everything good, it must still be going well for both of you based on all the good you have already done. Take $5 from my account and also $5 for Liesel and buy something for yourselves. We are sending a package to Berlin to Lini’s in-laws, what it costs we don’t we yet know, dear Friedrich will let you know in the next letter, today he is not in a position to write since dear Gertrud was not at home, and there was so much work for the holidays that they had little time to eat or sleep, and also Leo must be patient till dear Friedrich has the opportunity to find out what to do about Leo’s list.

The money for Leo from dear Leopold has arrived. The cost of the package for dear Liesel’s mother, which I already wrote to you, is 6.50 g, which you can credit to me. Lini as well as Leo want to have money sent to Munich and Nürnberg, dear Friedrich will write you about it, they want to transfer it and leave it standing over there, I have nothing more to say moreover I can’t recall anything else. From Hedi you will receive an airmail letter when she gets her visa. One can only send ½ kg of coffee, a bigger package to Munich did not arrive, Friedr and Gertrud were the ones who paid for it, it is now being sent there again. If you want something again for your mother dear Liesel you have to write to us. Dear Ernstchen really enjoys himself with the garage, he has a lot of fun when the car comes out; also, my gloves are nice. Hedi still wants to know what she should bring along for you. In the meantime Justin should have arrived by you, hopefully Paul can also come soon. Please tell dear Leo and dear Lini that as soon as Lini’s letter came it was sent on to Munich. My dears! Hope you are well as praise god are we. The small one is very lively and gives us great pleasure. Ernst is very happy with his little brother and also takes sincerest thanks for the nice garage with the car with which Ernst has a lot of fun.
